During my tenure here, ive noticed a few trends
regarding people asking for help. Below I have
lumped them into loose categories starting from worst to best.
Most of the time, you cannot distinguish the
different types until you have seen how they
respond or behave towards others offering help.
See if you can spot them, and use this analysis to
save your time and add your own maybe!
1. Troll
starts posting with some ad homimen attack "so and so is crap"
or purposely attacking someone or something in the disguise of help.
Psychology: Intent is to masturbate to the intensity of
angry posts he/she gets back
Warning signs: always taking the opposite position to whoever
replies. one word or sentence replies to people with well thought
out long replies.
Result: waste of time, waste of energy, do not post.
2. Ghost Poster
starts posting with 1 post , maybe short or long
psychology: never comes back, never replies, never posts there again
Warning signs: days go by or many posts go by with
helpful suggestions and not even a thanks in return.
result: once discovered, waste of time, waste of energy
3. Wall poster
Starts posting with a MASSIVE wall of post with no punctuation or spaces.
psychology: a lot to talk about, maybe philosophical in nature
warning signs: wall post
Result: not a big problem if you don't mind reading it...but too much
for some people.be prepared for length replies
4. Venter
Starts off post with: some mention of a problem,
not necessarily indicating needing help
psychology: Just wants to vent, does not want advice,
and sometimes doesn't even want replies
warning signs: contradicts most replies, can become hostile
result: once discovered waste of time unless you are just
replying to the venter for entertainment purposes.
5. Ego man
Starts off post with: If not in the lay report/field report, its
some sort of brag about their accomplishments...ORRR they are
asking for help
psychology: asking for help will generate replies to which
they can reply in some way as to boost their ego OR they
don't want to accept advice or will ignore advice because it
contradicts with what they THINK they should do (ie., making
your post useless) or they can't accept help.
warning signs: dismissal of most advice. Acceptance of advice
that they wanted all along. Or constantly being argumentative
about replies saying "that's not what I wanted" or "I know that
already" over and over even though the first post did not indicate
the lines on which an acceptable response would be.
result: Tiring and waste of time, unless you reply with something
they wanted to hear
6. Willing to get help.
Starts off post with: wanting to get help.
psychology: Actually wanting help and is open to suggestions.
Will try your suggestions
warning signs: acceptance of ideas in thread, replies about
updated status, replies about what happened when tried something
result: Wonderful to engage in discourse with.

I need help. I just laid a beautiful woman. We copulated for hours until my penis released itself far up into her vagina. But I'm a smidgen worried. Is it possible to get your mom pregnant if she has already given birth to you. Please help put my mind at ease.
The dreams come and go... get it "come" and go. Im joking!

7. Pointless Poster
Continuously starts threads out of the blue cointaining some mental
masturbatory observations that no one actually gives a fuck about.
Psychology: These 'observations' are usually aspects of his own split
personality manifested as imaginary 'other forum users' while making an
obvious attempt to come across as more intellectual than he really is.
Warning Signs: Will normally spend quite a bit of time away from the
forum between posts, no doubt in order to work on trying to come up
with something good to post next time.
Will usually have a name that contains something that makes him look
like he is a woman's man.
Result: Too boring to respond to. Laugh at.

VALUE THREAD.
As soon as I saw it was a monstar post I wanted in.
Is it the real monstar or a guy pretending? I have no idea any more (troll is successful)
Monstar is the ghost in the machine to me. An internet myth and legend.
